Waterwise front lawn conversion – Saratoga
New water saving planting replaced 1800 square feet of thirsty grass. Bright colors of Sea Lavender, chartreuse dwarf Pittosporums tobira “Crème de mint”, native manzanitas and ceanothuses, New Zealand flax and flowing fountain grass along with Dymondia margaretae groundcover create cheerful habitat for pollinators and small creatures.

New landscaping right after the installation
Second year after the installation: Dymondia filled the space around the stepping stones. Decomposed granite passways allow water to easily percolate into the ground and prevent water runoff.
